Communities interested in being listed in the Guide should have:
- A legitimate tourist attraction or museum open at specified hours. (It could be open only on a Saturday afternoon from 2-4 p.m., but visitors traveling through the area would know the exact time and location.) Attractions open by appointment only do not qualify.
